It was a team game all round on Saturday in Launceston Town Centre when Launceston Rugby Club represented by first team player Matt Luxton, Ladies' team members Abigail Hardy, Emma White, Lorna Carter and Megan Earle and mini-junior players Daniel, Aaron, Dominic, Marc, Edward, Ross, Asher and Ellie combined with Dennis Cook, Town Crier of Callington (special permission granted by Launceston Town Crier Rob Tremain) to promote the club's Family Fun Day on August 15. The message of 'oyez, oyez, all are welcome on the day' rang out through the town walls. Mini-Junior Chairman Darren Tait said: "The open day is an opportunity to open the doors of the rugby club, showcase our facilities, meet our players and sponsors. We have a whole host of exciting things going on throughout the day including, tag matches, stalls, games and food. You can meet the players and see the new season's strip and it will all be rounded off with the first team pre-season match against Barnstaple."
