A POLICE custody manager, based at Launceston Police Station, has been sacked by the Devon and Cornwall Constabulary for falsely claiming overtime and leave.

Mark Reeves was employed as a senior detention officer within the police custody environment.

During the week commencing January 10, a discipline hearing was convened and chaired by head of criminal justice, Superintendent Chris Brown.

The allegations heard referred to the unauthorised taking and entitlement of both leave and overtime claims.
