LAUNCESTON?nurse Barbara Ryder has given an early Christmas present to a man she had never met — one of her kidneys, which she described as "a spare part!" The nurse, Barbara Ryder, aged 59, is only the fourth person in this country to have made what is called an altruistic kidney donation. On Friday, she met the man to whom she donated a kidney.
