THE armed forces flag raising ceremony, under the auspices of the Launceston branch of the Royal British Legion, took place in the Castle grounds on Saturday, June 30. After the exhortation a Kohima prayer was given by President Peter Rowe and RBL Chairman John Knights consecutively, Mayor of Launceston.
STANDARD RAISED:Officials and residents from the town gather at the flag raising, including Chairman John Knights, Women’s Section Standard Bearer Cpl Atlanta May (ACF), Mayor Rob Tremain, standard bearer Bob Smith, President Peter Rowe and Ann Brown (town band).
