Through your letters column, I would like to take the opportunity of informing everyone that the Lions Club of Launceston will not be holding any more Car Boot Sales at the Car Park of Launceston College this year.

The college have decided that they will be charging for any events held on the Car Park.

As the Lions aim to raise money for charitable purposes, they feel that this will mean that any money raised will be lost due to this charge.

They are keen to continue to raise money initially for local causes, and are investigating other sites.

We would like to thanks everyone who supports our efforts.
