ONCE again the Launceston Lions branch have donated a number of ‘Trauma Teds’ to the Minor Injuries Unit (MIU) at Launceston Community Hospital.

A spokesperson said: “They are used to give comfort and provide distraction therapy to young children in distressing situations who are being treated at the unit.

“We thank all the local knitters who make these.

“It is very satisfying when we can return local contributions to the local community.”
