Planting of the flowers in and around Launceston is now complete and Margaret Wills, chairman of the Launceston in Bloom Association, has expressed her thanks to all of the town's businesses, the town council, Cornwall Council and many others who have so generously participated in Launceston in Bloom this year. Margaret explained that in Launceston there are 250-plus floral baskets and tubs throughout the town, with more than 150 of them put up by the wonderful team of volunteers (John, Colin, Graham, Andrew, Terry, David, Chris and Christine) using

lorries, ladders, etc, kindly supplied by Homeleigh Garden Centre and tools from Eagle Plant. There are also 12 large planters, all newly composted and colourfully planted by the very talented Homeleigh Garden Centre girls (Kathy, Jane and Kathy) at various locations throughout the town centre. Margaret added: "There are four levels of the central displays, made up of 32 sections of interlocking tanalised timber, containing 104 grobags, fitted and trimmed with over 1,500 colour co-ordinated plants, to produce a wonderful display of beautiful colour throughout the whole summer, thanks to our

'garden centre girls,' our volunteers and to the town council workmen, who water the displays daily. To all who contribute in any way to make our lovely town look so colourful and beautiful, thank you for the flowers."
