THE Launceston in Bloom organisers have extended thanks and appreciation to those who took part in this year’s events — creating a wonderful tribute to the event’s founder, the late Margaret Wills.

A spokesperson from the committee said: “A big thank you from Launceston in Bloom to everyone who has hung baskets, planted, watered, weeded or helped in any way with the floral displays that are making the town so colourful.

“We hope this is a fitting tribute to Margaret Wills, who started the beautiful displays more than 20 years ago.”
