AFTER a six day 5,895 metre-high climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa, with temperatures of minus 15, Amy Prosser, born and bred in Launceston, returned to the UK with her two colleagues after a 'gruelling' climb.
The climb, which Amy undertook along with Jason Brooker and Kerrie Preston, was in attempts to raise £10,000 in order to set up the Judy Dawson Charitable Trust, who died suddenly on November 23, 2008 after falling ill just a few days before.
The group set off on February 26 and returned on March 7, the day before Amy celebrated her 25th birthday.
