ARMED Forces Day on June 29 will have special significance for a Launceston family — Dad and his three sons are all currently serving in her Majesty's forces.
Our picture, sent in by proud mum, Tracy, shows her husband Warrant Officer 1 David Pooley and their three sons all serving currently in HM Forces.
All were born and grew up in Launceston, attending Windmill Primary and Launceston College.
Her husband is in the centre with their sons, left to right, AB Joseph Pooley Submariner Chef, Lieutenant Glenn Pooley Royal Welsh Regiment and AB Harry Pooley, Chef.
She said: "David has completed 34 years service to date having trained for Engineer Artificer at HMS Sultan and serving on ships such as Tartar, Diomede, Arethusa, Hermes, Coventry, Northumberland, Enterprise and Severn.
"David also had the honour of ceremonial guard duty in the State funeral of Lord Mountbatten.
"He is currently working at Fleet Operational Sea Training, Plymouth."
