MACY the Cairn Terrier has picked up some rosettes at her very first Royal Cornwall Show.

Nine-month-old Macy, who has now also qualified for Crufts, won Best of Breed and Best Puppy at the Dog Show during the first day of the Royal Cornwall Show, on Thursday, June 9, with owner Tony Madge.

Tony is a well-known dog lover from Launceston, and often shows his dogs at various Dog Shows, having been passionate about it for many years.

He told the Post: “The show has been great so far. We come every year and have been for the last 25 years, and we try to win something each time we come. There’s just something about terriers that I love; they’ve got so much character and they’ve got lovely natures.”

Tony also won Best of Breed with his four-year-old parson russell terrier, who has been coming to the Show with him since being a young puppy, like Macy. He is hopeful for Macy’s success in the future, which is already blossoming at such a young age.
