THE Launceston Community Market meets every Friday morning in the Central Methodist Hall and all the money they raise goes to local charities and good causes.
Recently they were delighted to donate a £200 cheque to the UK Sepsis Trust.
The UK Sepsis Trust has worked for many years to spread information to the medical profession and public about the effects of sepsis which is responsible for 48,000 deaths annually in the UK. The goal is to end preventable deaths from sepsis and improve outcomes for sepsis survivors. Earlier diagnosis and treatment across the UK would save several thousand lives a year.
The Cornwall Sepsis Trust Support Group is the only group in the South West and through regular meetings and fundraising events tries to achieve locally the aims of the UK Trust.

So far, the market has donated over £16,000 to 66 different good causes and if anyone has any suggestions for the next local good cause for the market to consider, just pop in and mention it to any of the stallholders.
