Launceston College Sixth Form students results leave principal “absolutely delighted” after students sit formal exams for the first time in three years.

84% of students seeking to attend university secured a place at their first choice, with 25% attending prestigious Russell Group universities.

Principal Jenn Burn said: “I am absolutely delighted with the results the Sixth Form students have achieved this year. The grades our students have achieved have been well earned and reflect their hard work, effort and commitment to their studies. We wish them the very best as they move forward in life to study at some of the world’s first-class universities or to take the first steps in some exciting career opportunities.”

Steve Rush, Head of Sixth Form, added: “I have nothing but admiration for the way that the students receiving their results today have shown dedication and endeavour to their studies during their time in the Sixth Form; they have been relentless in their determination to succeed. I am very proud of them all, and once again Launceston College students have demonstrated that they can compete with the very best, having secured some fantastic opportunities at top universities or on exciting apprenticeship and employment pathways.

“I look forward to watching their careers flourish as these amazing young adults make their impact on the world. I would like to give recognition to the parents, carers and families for the help and support that they have given the students over the last two years. I’d also like to say a very public thank you to all the staff at Launceston College who have worked hard in order to make sure that our students received the grades they deserved.”
