ON a scorching hot Tuesday, Launceston College competed against 25 schools in an athletics event at Par.
The college had three teams: Year 7 boys, Year 8 boys and Year 8 girls. The students competed in a range of events and scored points throughout the day resulting in many success stories.
However, the biggest success of the day was Harry Tomlin (7PKD) who won the Javelin recording 29.73m; this was just short of the 31m record.
Harry is currently 3rd in the South West in this discipline and he has a bright future ahead of him, said the school, maybe the Olympic Games squad for 2024?
