THE Design Technology department at Launceston College recently took part in the CreateEd exhibition at Falmouth University.

The show is a celebration of work produced by KS4 and 5 students in schools from across the country, with a focus on the creative subjects.

Launceston College exhibited a range of work from Year 12 Product Design and Year 11 Resistant Material courses and came away with two highly commended awards.

Several students visited the exhibition on Friday, June 24, making the most of the opportunity to take a tour of the impressive campus at the same time.

Head of Design and Technology, Mr Blackburn, said: “The standard of work on display was very high across the board. Although the Launceston College display was small in comparison to some other entries, I felt that the quality of the work was very strong and that the students who received commendation were very deserving of the recognition.

“I have put next year’s exhibition date in my diary and intend to set up a much more elaborate stand to really show off what our students are capable of.

“We certainly have the creative and technical ability to stand tall amongst other school and some of the top prize’s belong in our trophy cabinets!”
