ON A dry, sunny autumn morning, the Launceston and Lifton Cancer Research UK Committee held its annual coffee morning at the White Hart Hotel on Saturday. The chairman, Val Spry, was pleased to welcome regular attenders and thanked them for their continued support. Also attending for the first time was Chris Babb, the area volunteer organiser for Cancer Research UK. Val also thanked the committee and helpers for manning the stalls with Christmas cards, bring and buy and a wide choice of home baked cakes.
