GUNNISLAKE Health Centre has been given the go-ahead to install a prescription collection machine at the side of the pharmacy.

The temperature controlled unit will allow patients to collect their prescriptions 24 hours a day using a pin code sent via text message or QR codes.

n A REVISED application has gone into demolish the building at Salutations, Atlantic Road, Tintagel and replace it with a row of three houses. The application has made changes to a previously approved application which was to convert the existing house into a pair of semi-detached homes with an extension to create a third three-bedroom home. The applicant said that when works started on this scheme it was found that the original house was of an inferior quality and of an unacceptable build standard.

n ADVICE has been sought as to whether planners are likely to support the development of four or five homes on land adjacent to Tredar, Trewint, Launceston.

n A PERMANENT agricultural worker’s dwelling is planned for land adjacent to North Tamerton Road, Holsworthy.

Pre-application advice has been sought for the scheme which is linked to a livestock business. The farmer purchased the land 12 years ago and has since grown the business, erected a steel framed shed and a lean-to for the 40 calves he rears each year alongside a flock of around 50 breeding ewes. He also operates a groundworks business with his diggers stored in buildings adjacent to North Tamerton Road. Mr Johns, the farmer, lives eight kilometres away in Holsworthy and proposes to move to the proposed dwelling with his family.

n A RETROSPECTIVE change of use has been agreed for the former Penallick Hotel at Treknow, Tintagel to be used as a home. The current owners purchased the nine bedroom property earlier this year after it had been on the market for two years and have not offered any accommodation for paying guests.

n AN APPLICATION to demolish and replace a garage with self-contained living space at 15, Burn View, Bude has been withdrawn.
