THE Launceston Carnival Committee are giving the final call to the young ladies of the PL15 area, to enter the 2017 Carnival Royalty choosing event at Eagle House Hotel on Friday, July 14.

Dave Gordon, carnival chairman, told the Post: “We have always received a good response to our royalty competition and I hope this year will not be an exception. The three lucky winners will all receive generous dress allowances along with presentation salvers and flowers and everyone will receive a gift for applying, so as well as taking centre stage on carnival night, there is plenty to be gained in applying.”

There will be three independent judges to make the final decision and applicants should arrive at the Eagle House Hotel from 6pm for a 6.30pm start.

Late entries will be accepted up to 6pm on July 14, at Eagle House Hotel.

Anyone interested can either pick up an entry form from the Tourist Information Centre in the White Hart Arcade, or download a form from www.launceston-carnival.co.uk
