THE doors to the last remaining bank in Camelford will close on Friday.

Earlier this year, Barclays said the branch in Market Place would close due to it being used less and more use of online and mobile banking. It was the last bank to remain open in the town, following the earlier closure of Lloyds and NatWest.

The move also means the town will be without a cash machine, although plans were recently passed by Cornwall Council for the Co-op, at the top of Fore Street, to install an ATM.
