ON A RECENT blustery, showery day the 21st Deli Run was held at Deli Farm near Delabole, by courtesy of Mr and Mrs Peter Edwards .

A total of 125 runners took part, including pupils from 12 primary schools — Boscastle, Camelford, Delabole, Otterham, Padstow, Port Isaac, St Kew, St Mabyn, St Merryn, St Teath, St Tudy and Tintagel.

Andrew Martin, former headteacher at Delabole Primary School, helped stage the first Deli Farm Run with help from staff of the school.

The school has organised the event ever since with help first from the Tintagel and Camelford Lions and then when the club folded, the school was helped for some years by the Bude and Stratton Lions.

Sadly last year was the last one for the Lions and the event looked in jeopardy. However, the Rotary Club of Camelford did not want this to happen so sponsored this year's event and look forward to sponsoring the run in 2010.

Camelford Rotary Club has expressed its thanks to all those who helped stage the 2009 Deli Farm Run especially Mr and Mrs Edwards and Delabole Primary School.

The Annual Cup was won by the team from Boscastle Primary School. Camelford Primary School came second and Padstow Primary School finished in third place.

The winning boy was George Hooper from Otterham; Luke Hammond from Boscastle came second and Felix Camburopoulis from St Tudy was third.

The winning girl was Olivia Wills from St Mabyn; Jade Bowker from Boscastle was second and Cicely Willis from St Mabyn in third place. The winning adult was Rachel Wilsher from St Teath.
