The first of many activities to commemorate the 90th birthday of Launceston WI took place in the town square on Saturday when a stall was laid out with photographs and archives covering the 90 years of the WI's existence. The embroidered banner was proudly displayed as was a new printed banner which will be used on many occasions. In time honoured fashion, cakes and preserves produced by WI members were sold to cover the cost of the stall.

Pictured lending a hand during a wet and windy morning are Rosemary Freestone, Wendy Smith (President), Rosemary McClenaghan, Ann Shute, Chris Gunn and Vicki Knights.
