Elfordleigh Resource Centre was officially opened in Launceston by North Cornwall MP Dan Rogerson on Friday. The centre is run by Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust, which provides mental health and learning disability services across Cornwall. It is one of 10 resource centres run by the trust throughout the county. Opening the centre, which is located at St Stephens Hill, Mr Rogerson said: "I am delighted to open this wonderful new resource centre. I congratulate Angus and his team for turning an idea into reality. Earlier this year, I took part in the conference hosted by Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust held at the Eden Project where we talked about a 'whole life' approach to supporting people. The Resource Centre here in Launceston demonstrates that approach being put into practice." Angus Fruin, Resource Centre Manager, said: "This is a beautiful building in a wonderful setting. We have a great team here and we hope to become a resource for the local community to work with them and local businesses to help and support people."
