IT WOULD appear Langore man David Hooper is not alone in his assertion a large, unknown creature is present in the North Cornwall area, following a number of responses to his story in the September 15 edition of the 'Post' — 'Could there be a wildcat roaming around Langore?'.

LAUNCESTON man Roderick Dawe told the 'Post' that he came across a large, black cat — "like a puma or a panther" — around 10 years ago when working on the Lifton to Okehampton by-pass in the Roadford area.

LAWRENCE McNeela of Launceston told the 'Post' he saw something a few years ago along the Langore stretch of road, from 'Waterloo Bridge' at the North Petherwin turning into Langore.

AN EGLSOKERRY mum said she dismissed her daughter's accounts of a wildcat sighting in the area — until she saw David Hooper's story detailed in the 'Post'.
