The Delabole branch of the Royal British Legion held a successful meal, attended by approximately 50 members and friends at the Poldark Inn, Delabole, on Saturday evening. The event was mainly held to present 25-year badges to five ladies who have all sold poppies for that time or longer.

The badges were presented by the branch secretary, Mrs Patricia Molloy to Mrs Val Callaway, Mrs May Stacey, Mrs Yvonne Edwards, Mrs Doris Chapman and Mrs Rosemary Meakin. The ladies were also presented with a bouquet of flowers by branch chairman, Mr Phil Carnon.

A friendly, enjoyable evening was had by all and the branch members have expressed their thanks to the Poldark Inn for putting on a lovely meal.
