A FITNESS group took to the centre of Launceston on Saturday, ‘boogie bouncing’ for hours to raise money for Cancer Research.
Boogie Bounce Launceston is regularly held at the Bridge Centre at Pennygillam, and instructor Paige said many people in her group wanted to do something for a good cause.
She added: “A lot of ladies can’t run due to medical issues or disabilities. As it was Race for Life at the weekend we decided that we would do a ‘bounceathon’, and do it in the middle of the town!”
Around ten ladies took part in the three-hour bounceathon, Paige added: “We battled through it!” The general public were able to try out on the trampolines too.
Around £150 has been raised so far, with more money to be counted.
