LEWANNICK Church’s ‘Knit and Natter’ group has been busy knitting daffodils in the hope of raising money for some worthy causes.
The group will be decorating the church with knitted flowers from Easter Sunday, March 26, until Sunday, April 3, to raise money for Marie Curie and the church itself.
The ‘Knit and Natter’ group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 2pm — in the church normally — and if others want to join in they are more than welcome.
The Rev Anne Brown said: “Patterns are available in church — they are not as difficult as the look!”
Flowers will be sold at the end of the event for £1 each. To order, please put details on a card and leave in the box in the church. Knitted broaches will be available for £1 during the event.
Any flowers not sold, will be gifted to local residential and nursing homes.
