ANYONE driving through Kilkhampton over the last few weeks cannot have failed to notice some new residents in the village.

Kilkhampton's first scarecrow festival was a resounding success, with 26 families taking part. The standard of entries was nothing short of amazing, from athletes and members of the royal family lining the roads, to horses and canoes spectacularly emerging from the hedgerows.
