THE latest Simply Wood charity chef evening held just before Christmas at the Kilkhampton showroom was deemed a huge success by all involved and raised another worthy £700 for ShelterBox.
All ingredients were provided free by The Castle Restaurant, the wine donated by the suppliers of North Coast Wine and the venue and hosting given by Simply Wood.
Festively themed to demonstrate saving time whilst cooking something special for Christmas Day, Kit Davies from the Bude-based Castle Restaurant prepared two delicious courses from scratch — a pheasant dish followed by a mouth-watering apple tarte tatin.
