Bank Holiday Monday saw three dogs from the PAWZ4TRAINING group at Hatherleigh Community Centre, trying for their Good Citizen Awards. The tests demand a degree of good behaviour from both the dogs and their owners, and involve proving they can pass all the different sections involving responsibility and care. Sections of the test include a dog's needs, what to do in cases of illness, responsibilities of ownership (including the law), and various standards of obedience according to the level of the test taken. The Kennel Club have three levels of tests, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Training is at Hatherleigh Community Centre, Monday mornings at 10.00 a.m if you are interested.
