MEMBERS of the community from St Giles-on-the-Heath recently got involved in a jumble sale to raise funds for the local church.
Taking place on Saturday, April 16, the jumble sale raised a total of £192 to donate to the church.
Hilary Ward, from St Giles, said: “We are very grateful for everyone who got involved in the jumble sale. It wasn’t just people from the village who came along, but people from far away as well. We had a couple from Plymouth who came along, and also people from Okehampton.
“It was great to see that people were willing to come from outside of the village to help contribute towards the funds.”
Hilary explained that around 45 people in total attended the event.
The £192 raised from the jumble sale will go towards the general upkeep of the church.
Hilary added: “Thank you to those who came and helped.”
