JOSH Curnow, 26 and originally from North Cornwall, has recently launched a charity single called ‘Atlantic’.

Josh is a singer song writer whose heart is still very much in Cornwall, despite rubbing shoulders with stars such as Matt Cardel, Blue and Atomic Kitten, and more recently Black Box, X Factor 2013 winner Sam Bailey, Jocelyn Brown and Adam Ant regularly through his work as a musician, often playing as a support act.

Josh has been a supporter of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) for a long time, however, it was Neil Blackeby and Hamish Stewart’s pledge to row the Atlantic in a bid to raise £45,000 for the charity that really caught his eye and gave him the idea of recording a charity single.

He set himself the huge challenge of not only writing and recording the track but also playing all the instruments that feature on the single himself.

Josh has just been confirmed to play the main stage at H2O festival in Cheshire in August 2016 where he will be further showcasing the single. He is very excited about this as it will be his biggest festival to date with an expected attendance of 70,000 people.

Atlantic is now available to buy through iTunes for just 99p and 100% of the sales go directly to CHSW and will go towards the funds that are being raised by the Atlantic Buoys — Hamish Stewart and Neil Blackeby, who are going to be rowing across the Atlantic as part of the Talisker Challenge.

CHSW supports children with life limiting illnesses, who sadly will not live to adulthood. The charity relies almost entirely on donations to run its three hospices across the South West, including Little Harbour in St Austell, which supports children and families from Cornwall, Plymouth and the surrounding area. Families can go to Little Harbour for short breaks, palliative care, respite, as well as emergency care, end of life care and bereavement support.
