SCATS autumn production is, once again, a joint venture with the Old School, and will be staged on October 27, 28 and 29.
The evening compromises a two-course supper, plus coffee and mints, followed by two short plays.
The first play, ‘The Melting Sands’ by Jim Pinnock, tells the story of two seemingly innocent and unconnected women seeking revenge — the first on her philandering, bank robber husband; the other woman on her scheming daughter and her new husband.
All the while, the menace of the melting sands hovers in the background.
The second play, ‘A Matter of Health and Safety’ by Cheryl Barrett, is a short comedy sending up some of the farcical health and safety rules we have to endure, with just two actors, Adrian Glassborow and Tom Davidson.
The plays will take place on the evenings of Thursday, October 27, Friday, October 28 and Saturday, October 29.
Doors and the licensed cash bar will open at 7pm. The meal will be served promptly at 7.30pm. Tickets are available to purchase from Stoke Climsland Post Office.
