FIFTEEN-year-old Jim Keir, from Bude, is proving himself a gracious runner-up, after falling at the last hurdle in the TeenStar music competition by OpenMic UK, writes Shannon Hards.
After sailing through each round, with his individual, laid back style, his journey came to an end at the grand final in the O2 Arena, on Sunday, July 7.
Jim decided to sing a song of his own for the finale, though reflecting on his performance he said:?"I didn't perform too well. I just didn't bring it on the day."
Since entering the competition Jim has denied his desire to win, when asked if he was disappointed, he said: "No, I didn't want to win, I wanted to show the judges what I could do but sadly I choked."
