AFTER the previous week's defeat the Jets did not want a repeat performance so came out fighting, the first quarter went to plan and after some great attacking play by Steph Dinshaw and Helen Newton they went into the break leading 10-4.

However, the second quarter began with the Coodes upping their game and the tempo. Jets seemed to lose their focus and lost the second quarter going into half time with a slender 2 goal lead

After an encouraging team talk Jets once again came out fighting and with some great defence play by Kirsty Dawe, Kelly Swatton and Natalie Vodden they only conceded 5 goals. They began to pull away from Coodes which resulted in the third quarter finishing 25-19 in favour of the Jets.

In the final quarter Jets came into their own with the ball being passed down the court effortlessly and with some great feeding into the circle by Carrie Short and Sharon Box the lead was extended further to 14 by the end of the match.

Jets Player of the Match was awarded to Kelly Swatton.

In the Coodes team were Deb Williams, Jane Hunt, Chris Southern, Lyn Hobbs, Louise Jollow, Charlotte White and Emma Jeffery.
