After another long break due to cancellations caused by the weather Bude Jets went into their match against Artava quite tentatively.
Both teams took a little while to get into the game and the first quarter started fairly even but by the end the Jets had pushed slightly ahead with a five goal cushion.
There was a vast improvement in the second quarter with the Jets attack of Carrie Short, Sharon Box, Steph Dinshaw and Steph Cook playing well together to increase the lead to 23-13.
The defence worked tirelessly in the third quarter with Kirsty Dawe, Kelly Swatton and Jo Green putting up a great fight against some particulary accurate shooters from Artava, they managed to finish the quarter leading 38-21.
In the final quarter the lack of match fitness was evident with the Jets flagging but with great determination and team spirit they secured a well earnt and impressive victory 49-31.
Player of the Match was awarded to Carrie Short.
