JEAN Teague, from St Gennys, had her 90th birthday last Tuesday, April 19, celebrating with her husband, Gordon, and their family.

Mrs Teague received many birthday cards, and also brought out a card from the Queen, which congratulated Jean and Gordon Teague on their Diamond Wedding anniversary, which took place last month.

Jean’s 90th birthday fell two days before the Queen’s.

The couple both grew up in the parish of St Gennys, and have lived in the area all their lives.

They both enjoy good health and live on their own unaided.

Gordon, who is 85-years-old, spends much of his time tending to the garden, and Jean enjoys cooking meals for them both.
