The one night show featured young performers from across the age spectrum and from right across Cornwall, from Penzance to Bude.
Patrick Bailey, local conductor and music educator who compered the show, said: “Hub Sounds was a fantastic evening — a great showcase for the breadth and depth of music making in the county.
“It was wonderful to hear young musicians playing solo or in duets, and with such a range of interests, from classical sonatas through to European folk music and onto disco. There were also ensembles, massed wind bands to junk percussion.
“Musicians of all levels of experience took part from a primary school ukulele group to a county level saxophone ensemble, and all of them gave joyous, communicative performances. Cornwall should be very proud.”
The Cornwall Music Education Hub is a partnership of arts and music organisations, promoting music education to children and young people across the county, and is led by Cornwall Council.
The organisation encourages and supports children to access high quality music making and learning, and is funded by Arts Council England.
Budehaven Jazz Band performed at this event alongside Cornish schools such as Cornwall College Function Band, Wadebridge Jazz Band and many more.
