STOPPING off in Holsworthy on a journey from Lands End to John O’Groats will be James Taylor, who is attempting to travel the distance by public bus only, no coaches allowed.
James (pictured) will take on the adventure to help raise funds for his chosen charity Barnardos, who support vulnerable children in the UK to transform their lives.
He will begin his journey on the 1a bus from Lands End on the 0721 service on Monday, July 11, and will hopefully get in at John O’Groats six days later.
His first night, on July 11, will be spent at The Kings Arms, Holsworthy where he will then leave the following morning on the 85C’s 0940 service.
James said: “I’ve always been an adventurous person but haven’t had the opportunity for some years to do something challenging whilst raising money for a good cause.
“I’m looking forward to the challenge of not getting lost and making my B&B each night. I’m not looking forward to sleeping in a bus stop somewhere I’ve never been to before.
“I’m from Bournemouth and now my daughter is at school and less dependant on me, I thought the time was right.“
