A BUDE woman who has been making cream teas in the area since the 1960s has had her say on the age-old debate that has divided two counties — jam first or cream? Margaret Frost appeared on ITV's This Morning programme last week, fighting the corner for Cornwall's method, which traditionally sees jam placed on the scone with cream going on top. Presenter Lisa Faulkner visited Margaret's business, Northcott Mouth Rustic Tea Rooms, to hear how cream teas are made 'the Cornish way', in comparison with their neighbours over the Tamar. Margaret told her: "I don't see how, when you do the Devon one, that you can get as much cream on the bottom, and I think the jam slips off as well."
