BUDE Youth Theatre is about to embark on its 19th production since 1999 with its take on 'Cider with Rosie'.

The production runs from Wednesday, March 18 to Friday, March 20 at 7.30pm in the John Ward Hall at Budehaven Community School — where there will also be a matinee performance at 12.30pm on Thursday, March 19.

Produced by the same team which staged 'It's a Wonderful Life', 'The Pool of Dreams' and 'Unsinkable: the story of the Titanic' which brought comments such as 'I've just returned home from 'It's a Wonderful Life' and am joyous — wow!'— 'Cider with Rosie' is set to be just as mesmerising.

Richard Wolfenden-Brown has directed the play with choreography by Clare Collingham, original music by Kath Morrison and pianist Thomas Marples will lead the musicians from Budehaven Community School.

Beginning at the end of the First World War, 'Cider with Rosie' recounts Laurie Lee's powerful childhood memories of life in a rural village which had seen few changes in a thousand years.
