HEALTH chiefs were yesterday due to discuss the fate of Teignmouth Community Hospital with campaigners keen to see the retention of its minor injuries unit keeping up the pressure all the way.
The Mill Lane facility was the first hospital to be built by the NHS after its creation in 1948.
Today it has 12 in-patient beds, an X-ray department and the minor injuries unit.
