A UNIQUE community event arranged by SWISH (Southwest In Search of Harmony) was held in Holsworthy Memorial Hall on Saturday, April 6 and thoroughly enjoyed by all who attended, writes Christine Williams.

It was the brainchild of Lisa Vincent and David and Judy Haywood who some seven months ago decided they would like to organise a charity event to raise money for Children's Hospice Southwest and the Devon Air Ambulance. It was officially opened by the Mayor of Holsworthy, Cllr Pauline Ede.

Initially intended to be an interfaith fair to promote harmony between a variety of faiths and spiritualist groups, such was its popularity that the scope of the event was widened to include therapists, beauticians and a variety of treatments for mind and body.
