AS ANOTHER series of Poldark recently came to a close, the UK self-catering holiday company, cottages.com, has revealed that the show’s influence on holidaymakers around the country remains as strong as ever.

With areas that feature in the show experiencing an impressive uplift in bookings of 13% year-on-year since the third series aired, it seems Camelford is the destination of choice for viewers of the show, having had an increase of 56% in booked weeks since Ross Poldark hit our screens.

Bookings to Padstow are also up 32% since the show started in early June.

Bookings to coastal properties located within the area, where the show is filmed, have also increased by 18% year-on-year.
