A COMMUNITY day that enabled groups and charitable organisations to promote themselves to Launceston residents took place on Saturday (March 28).
The event was held at the Town Hall by the town council — its first Community Day as part of its ongoing support for community groups and charities.
It was a free event for organisations to exhibit and free to members of the public to attend, with advice on a range of subjects and workshops covering legal, financial and insurance issues.
The event aimed to advise visitors of volunteering opportunities and how local organisations can be of benefit, as well as promoting ways of 'being involved in Launceston life'.
