"REALLY disappointed," were the words from Cllr Alex Folkes at the recent Launceston Town Council meeting, as he gave a report about car parking charges in Launceston.
He explained that despite such success from the parking petition and response from the consultation, with over 1,000 people responding and fewer than ten in support, this did not influence Cornwall Council's cabinet members' decision to change the pricing structure.
He said at the final meeting of the parking panel, the attitude of the cabinet was similar to that of 'we've got to raise the income, this is how we are going to do it'.
