In reply to Mrs Monica Doidge's letter (the 'Post', December 18), some members of St Mary Magdalene Church Choir, myself included, did stay, as usual, to the end of the Rotary Club's Carol Concert.
Another family, understandably, went a little early as two of their grandchildren had been admitted to a high-dependency ward at Derriford Hospital that day.
The choir members are very committed, and had been practising hard towards their contribution to the Rotary concert. St Mary's Choir have given freely of their time and talents for over 20 years at this special event in our town's Christmas calendar.
I can't see much charitable Christmas spirit in this inaccurate moan of Mrs Doidge's letter!
