THE newly formed ‘Kilkhampton Parish Support Trust’ hosted a village party to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on June 18.
The day started with Margaret Colwill cutting a birthday cake in honour of the Queen and then the singing of the national anthem.
There then followed a selection of games for children of all ages followed by a birthday tea party for all the children, which more than 80 children sat down to enjoy.
The evening entertainment consisted of tug of war and wheelbarrow races for the adults and the evening was finished off with a ‘Blankety Blank’ game show.
Kilkhampton Parish Trust expressed thanks to everyone who attended and supported the day and to the volunteers that helped out on the day.
Special thanks went to Mr Watson of Kilkhampton School and pupils for producing some excellent royal themed artwork and collages that were on display throughout the day.
