'The Linda Cox trophy' has been presented to Southgate Colts FC this year as a 'Clubman' cup, awarded to someone within the club, a manager, committee member, player or parent who has given a lot of time or done something special for Southgate over the season, and named (with the blessing of Roger Cox, Linda's husband) in memory of a long time supporter of Southgate. Having supported all three sons playing at every age group and raising a massive amount of money for the club, Linda sadly and suddenly died earlier this year. Nominations were written by each manager and a reason for award and then sent to club president Colin Hill to pick from nominees. The first winner of the cup is Yvonne King for all her hard work over the years and her utter dedication to the club, just finishing her 12th year as secretary.
