IT WAS another success when Treknow Village Garden Club held their annual Summer Show on Saturday, July 23.

Despite the variable weather this year, there was an impressive display of flowers and vegetables, and the friendly chatter made it an enjoyable afternoon. Always a lively group, even an electricity cut didn’t put the spectators off, and afternoon tea was provided with the help of a camping cooker.

Both new members and visitors are assured a warm welcome by Treknow Village Garden Club, who meet at Treknow Village Hall every month at 7.30pm, mostly on Fridays.

Speakers cover a wide range of gardening topics, many of whom are professional, and club social events are held too.
