HARVEST Hymns came alive in colourful exhibitions at the recent Poughill Flower Festival.

St Olaf's Church hosted the blooms that took inspiration from the residents' favourite hymns from Thursday, September 27 to Sunday, September 30.

A spokesperson said: "From the moment you walked into the porch there was a blaze of colour and freshness."

The many displays were said to have shown "subtle blends of imagination and artistic ability".
